Conventions:
* Year 2005 refers to a review taking place during the academic year 2005-2006.
* The years give the dates of past reviews and the dates of future reviews that are mandated by policy. Years in bold identify the next mandatory review.
* + means that an approved leave resulted in a delay of the mandatory review by 1 year.
General rules:
* 1st retention: add 2 years to the start year (faculty starting in Spring get an extra year).
* 2nd retention: add 5 years to the start year. Second retention reviews were dropped from policy starting in Fall 2007.
* Tenure: add 6 years to the start year if started as an Assistant Professor before Fall 2007, add 5 years if started as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2007 or later, add 4 years if started as an Associate Professor.
* Tenure reviews may occur earlier as described in policies and procedures. In particular, assistant professors hired before Fall 2007 may request a non-reversible advance of their tenure review by 1 year.
* 5-year review: add 5 years to the last formal RPT review or 5-year review. For faculty serving as department chair or dean, add 5 years to the last calendar year of appointment as chair or dean.
